Everywhere I've compare the two (using SpeedTest), LTE always performs faster overall. Posted below is about the best performance I've seen with my Bionic on WiFI
    Test Date: Apr 2, 2013 1:17:38 pm
    Connection Type: Wifi
    Server: Washington, DC
    Download: 15907 kbps
    Upload: 13042 kbps
    Ping: 46 ms

    And LTE
    Test Date: Apr 2, 2013 1:20:09 pm
    Connection Type: Lte
    Server: Washington, DC
    Download: 20216 kbps
    Upload: 12778 kbps
    Ping: 70 ms

The Wifi I'm currently on is at minimum 50MB/S down & 25MB/S up. However, my laptop Wifi usually sees more like 58 & 30. At home, the laptop always sees much better WiFi performance than my Bionic.

Perhaps the wifi radio and what it allows to be pulled in on the phone.

I would think having a 802.11 N-capable wifi receiver would allow it to perform as other N receivers have.

Well I don't pull in 50mb with my wireless at home. But my lte isn't faster. I'll pull in 50mbps on my laptop or desktop wireless

I confirmed the same thing. My parents house has verizon fios internet. Via wifi the bionic tops out similarly. I think its the way the wifi is set up. What's really freaky is that several times Up would be better than down on the bionic. Of course none of the strangeness happens on a PC connected via wifi.

I do remember seeing something long ago about adjusting the wifi buffer values. But for the life of me I can't remember whether that was on webOS or Android.

Yeah I have FIOS at home. It's way better than what we got with Xfinity.

It was at least on Android, and there was a Bionic hack for it that worked, though it wasn't sticky through a reboot.

I've seen that up>down on LTE in several locales around the country with the Bionic.
