that is froyo only kernels are rom specific.
there is a voodoo lagfix with voodoo sound out for ep1w you'll find the kernel at rootzwiki.
it does not have overclock or undervolt

You can run the modem on froyo with whatever kernel you want.

Thanks guys, I installed the voodoo lag fix kernal yesterday night. This set up doesn't yield the sheer performance of gc2.0 but its MUCH more stable for me so far. Not saying I buy into benchmarking scores but i use them to compare roms and with ep1w i got 1600 and gc i got 2100 so its not that far off.

Also, does anyone know if I could use the new Cyanogenmod7 rom and use the ep1w modem downloads? From what i understand the only thing wrong with cyanogenmod is that it doesnt have modems yet, is this correct?

that is my understanding, but it isnt that it doesnt have them, it is that they do not work yet. If you put CM7 on your phone, you will not be able to use any of the modems
