Some people have the Fighter

You guys probably won't believe me, but my father has seen the Droid Fighter. He works as a sales rep at Verizon and his friend/co-worker owns one. My dad has even taken two pictures of the phone, but I'm afraid to post them since he could lose his job. The co-worker had to sign a non-disclosure agreement when taking the phone. I CAN confirm that the Fighter has a 4.6 inch display, but my dad didn't ask about the battery and camera.

I'm very stoked for this phone and can't wait for its official release. The fact that some people have this phone is a good sign. Just wish that my dad got one.

typical line to start a rumor. "He works as a sales rep at Verizon and his friend/co-worker owns one" They give these phones to sales reps? Must be a select few right? Only asking because my Dad used to work high up in Verizon and he barely got a few prototypes, only after begging profusely for them. Im hoping the 4.6 inch screen is true, because I like to read books on my phone, and 4-4.3 inches doesnt seem like enough screen real estate anymore. And yeah, dont post them, that could end up disastrous

Oh yeah, I can also confirm the on screen soft keys.

I'm intimidated about posting the photos though. There is a warning on the phone itself saying how you can't disclose any information to anyone.

I bought a Thunderbolt off ebay back in the day... The guy who sold it to me worked for verizon. When I got the phone it was engraved with some numbers on the side, I kinda new it was a testers phone. Well two weeks later i resold it on ebay because of rebooting problems. Well guess who emailed me a couple days later asking for the phone back........... you got it. Told him I already sold it again on ebay, the nerve he had to threaten me because he was gonna loose his job. Tried to help him out as best I could but never heard back from him again... maybe he doesn't have that job anymore. Be careful if you really do have pics.... there just picks, and not the real phone............... Id say post them hahaha... its FREE publicity for moto..... "do it"

Yea dont risk it with pics. Ppl will either believe you or they wont.

I'm not sure about the back or the release date. My dad said that the phone looked very similar to the RAZR Maxx (he has one), so I would bet my money on that being the back. The owner said he has no idea when it will be released or what it will be called at its release.

That's why I asked about the battery. IF they choose to release it w/o the 3300 battery - I'll be looking elsewhere.

This screams bogus. You can make a person sign a nondisclosure agreement but a note on the side of a phone does not a contract make. Furthermore If I had signed a nondisclosure and valued my job I wouldn't allow anyone to take a picture of it.

I have nothing besides the pictures to prove what I'm saying is true. If I was in your shoes, I probably wouldn't believe me either. After all, I am just some random guy on the internet.

That being said, what I have said is 100% true.

My dad's friend had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. IN ADDITION to that, there is a warning on the side of the phone (it's not actually on the side. It's on the front on the left hand ridge where the touch screen ends. Really hard to describe). Should have been more clear.

He's also good friends with my dad, so it's not surprising he trusts him. And I'm sure my dad didn't expect me to post in a forum about it either. If there was no risk involved, I would happily leak it. So I'll take any suggestions as to how I can leak this safely, if it's possible at all.

I just asked my dad about the battery. He's almost certain it has the same battery as the MAXX (the 3300).

Then again, I'm unreliable, so don't trust me.

Trust me, don't take the abuse personal. You have a brand new account saying you have new information, yet won't give it up for "reasons". These types of posts happen enough where if you don't readily post the information, you're seen as someone just trying to get attention.

I would say to avoid this, don't post saying you have info and keep it away from the public.

Anyways, welcome to the forum. If you want to post your pics, I'm sure they will make a lot of people (including myself) happy.

You signed in here claiming that ur father's friend have the new razr hd.
You claim that you can get info about the phone.
You cant post or confirm any rumors.

Seriously..... your first post, first... post.. is a rant about someone else not sharing most likely confidential information with us. I can see your gonna be a great contributor to this forum.... Who cares if he started this thread. Take it with a grain of salt and move on. If its true, then at least we can assume that people are testing and it may be out soon.
