Thoughts on the Droid Razr HD?

I posted a similar thread in the Droid 4 forums, but I am not sure how much cross traffic there is.....


I am looking to buy my mom her first smartphone, deciding between the Droid 4 and the RAZR HD

I am buying them off contract on eBay. For comparable quality the Droid 4 is about $40 cheaper.

Any thoughts? Anyone used both? I love my Droid Maxx, but have never used the others

Do you think she needs the physical QWERTY keyboard? If not, then go for the Razr HD, which won't be as heavy and bulky as the Droid 4.

FWIW - RAZR HD will be getting Kit Kat, the Droid 4 will not. Not sure if that makes a difference to you.

I am not sure she needs a keyboard, just thought it might be easier as a first phone.

I ended up finding a Droid 4 for $65, so at almost half the price I chose it over the RAZR HD, but if she hates it I will get the RAZR HD or Maxx HD

Razr HD is a much better device.
But if she like the Droid 4 then it's fine.
My mother-in-law is rock'n an HTC Thunderbolt.
I needed a phone and that what was laying around.

Fir the first smartphone, I don't think it matters much.
