So I have the Droid RAZR HD XT926. I obviously want to root it and have read numerous threads. But I have seen one that said that a certain version cannot be done, and others saying it can. I am basically looking for advice and some wisdom. Here is the specs and what I plan to do...and if you could tell me if it is possible and what to do next that would help a lot.

SPECS:

System Version: 183.46.15.XT926.Verizon.en.US
Model Number: DROID RAZR HD
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: VANQUISH_BP_100731.020.64.21P
Kernel Version: 3.4.42-g3841824
Build Number: KDA20.62-15.1
Build Date: Tue Jul 29 08:29:01 PDT 2014

So, one website said that the Version 183.46.15 cannot be rooted so it has to be downgraded to a different version. So this is what I am going to do:

  1. I am going to download FXZ KDA20.62-15.1
  2. Use the RSD Flasher with Keep Data.

This will downgrade it to the correct system version.

But this is where I am lost. Do I need to downgrade it or not? And where is a good tutorial on the rest of the rooting procedure? I like in depth ones, like I found one that showed how to root, install safestraps and custom roms, but that was for the droid razr maxx, so can't use that one.
Just let me know what you guys think and any advice.

Everything you need is at us.google.com/110048324100895467308/posts/bUhxCgAj594 .You have to use Hydrogen_Peroxide_1.0.1_xt926 to root . I used it on my razr hd and it worked flawlessly . It will not unlock the bootloader but it will root
