Notification bar

My wife just picked up a Razr M yesterday and I have a question about the notification bar. When we?re at home, connected to our WIFI, her notification bar shows the 4G LTE icon and the WIFI icon. Does the 4G icon never go away, even when connected to WIFI?

Right. Data is being used via Wi-Fi, but the 4G icon is still visible. If you go into Settings>Data usage>Menu...you can enable Show Wi-Fi usage. Then you can keep track of how much data is used while on Wi-Fi, as well as your 4G.

Yes, the 4G/3G stays on even when connected to WiFi.
It will go off if you turn off mobile data.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure because on my GS3, the 4G icon goes away when connected to WIFI.

The 4g indicator will be blue if 4g data is being used. If you are on wifi, the 4g indicator should be gray.

Blue = active, synced with Google
White = active, not synced with Google Grey = not active

Blue doesn't mean you are actively using data, just connected and synced.

Thread resurection...

This morning I had plenty bars of 4G, while driving with M in car dock, but the icon and bars were white / gray, as opposed to blue.
I could not stream music and Waze showed "loss of network".
I tried cycling Airplane Mode with no affect. I powered down and up, with same results.
0530, Western Washington.
Any ideas why It would not "sync to google"?
