Biggest changes in KitKat. I dislike the app drawer still has blue lines. I also dislike the blue in the dialer. Definitely feels much faster, there is still some settling going on as far as RAM goes though.

I have to say, it's just ok. While it seems like it cleared up most of the issues I've had since September it's not OMG wow, yet.

Kinda off topic but now that we have kitkat I got the Google camera app. But for some reason I don't have hdr, panorama or photosphere option.

I couldn't wait any longer. No one was screaming about KitKat being hosed up, so I pushed the button!
Downloading now! :-D

Update:KitKat took about 32 minutes to download and install, followed by startup of about 15 minutes with messages: "Android is Updating Optimizing 1 (-269) of 269 Apps", "Upgrading Media", "Upgrading Contacts", "Upgrading Database" & "Finishing Boot".

I haven't done a factory reset or cache wipe yet, but the M is responding more quickly and smoothly. Before KitKat it had become very sluggish and laggy / slow to respond to selections.

Things I don't like:
-all notifications in the upper right are white. I miss the blue clock and service, wifi and bluetooth turning from white to blue for verification of connection.
-the open apps button adds the app currently in use. I find this silly. On JellyBean, the current app was returned to by selecting the open apps button. This allowed for easy toggle between Nav and Music, while driving with car dock. With KitKat, now I have to look to find the second on the list, which was the previously used app. Hard to explain, but you'll see, when tried.
-no apps on lock screen. The "lock Screen Widgets" don't cut it. I guess I'll have to find an app for this, like swipe is app only now. I'm sure I'll find others.
-white background on txt msg with no option to change it.

Yeah no problems so far. There will be some lag at first. I factory reset and installed whatever I apps I really needed. There was some hesitations in transitions for a while but everything has gotten all smooth and everything. I may just hold onto this phone for the summer. KitKat really improved it.

I am just glad KitKat has immersive mode so I can read Pocket full screen and play Badlands full screen. 😁

Blue lines are probably a Verizon thing since they kept some blue on the 2013 DROIDs' KitKat update.
