Default Bionic>Maxx HD for $650 worth it?

I'm pissed off at my bionic due to the ICS update that brought back the headphone whine that plagued us suckers last year. I was thinking about hanging out until the Note 2 arrives, but I was unimpressed with sound quality of the S3 that a Verizon salesman showed me. I suspect that sound of Samsungs might all generally be inferior to Moto phones, correct? In any event, that led me to take a look at the Razr Maxx HD. Sound (on quick inspection) was far better through the speaker. I didn't use the earpiece. Just listened to the speakerphone. it was noticeable better than my Bionic, while the S3's sound was vastly inferior to the bionic. I thought the screen's color was nice. The camera was AWFUL. it was worse than awful. murky color. My primary use isn't for the camera, but geez, it's pretty bad. Conversely, I've heard the Sammy cameras are far superior (I didn't even bother to check it today). It would be nice if anyone knows of a model phone coming very soon that is around 5", great screen, signal quality, and sound quality . I know I'm asking a lot!

I don't want to buy the Maxx HD to find out that there is a 5" coming out that will blow it out of the water.

ANY thoughts on this matter are appreciated. (while I'm not destitute, I just cant see myself buying a phone at full price and then buying another $600+ phone in less than a year).

Had anyone gone from the Bionic to the Maxx HD and been underwhelmed? or thrilled.

My friend who went from a Bionic to Maxx was happier than ever. I'm sure a Maxx HD would be like paradise lol.

There is a huge upgrade from the Bionic to the Maxx and Maxx HD. Is it worth 650 dollars I would say yes, sell your Bionic and your out of pocket will be closer to 500.

I just went from from Bionic to HD Maxx and I am extremely happy with the new phone. I had an upgrade, though. (I suffered with the Bionic for a little over a year) I don't think there's going to be a better phone from Moto for a while (6 months or more). I wasn't checking the rumor sites well enough when I got the Bionic or I would have waited 3 months for the Razr.

I can't kill the damn battery on the HD Maxx. I think you need to run a Li-Ion battery down every 2 weeks or so to maintain capacity, but I haven't gotten it under 75% since I got it. I use it as a clock radio on the flip stand every night, so it gets charged up every night. (you can't run Bedside mode without plugging in the "smart connector". And if you unplug from wall, screen times out) This was never a problem with the Bionic, it was dead after 6 hours.

How did you get them to switch the bionic for another phone? Go in and complain about the sound?

Called customer service. The razr maxx they sent had a bad speaker so I'm still using the bionic.
