smart actions

When using smart actions for Home and Work that I have set up I have to manually turn them on. What am I missing?

Need more information to help you. Are you sure the smart action is actually turned on?

My Home smart action is not activating. I have smart actions turned on, my home location set, but it does not trigger. Vehicle mode, sleep mode, and grocery store all trigger correctly.

Not sure I understand the question however, I have a smart action so that when I get home my WiFi turns on. When I leave my house though, it doesn't turn off. I grabbed an app that will turn it off after not being connected for one minute. My other smart actions are more time based or screen based. For example, when my screen is off my data is off. That way I can still get calls and text but no data exchange is going on at all. The other one basically puts my phone into airplane mode from 1030pm until 5am every day so I usually don't plug my phone in at all at night and get an average of two days before a charge since there is minimal, if any, drain when I sleep.

Check for conflicts between your profiles. Wifi off should definitely work.
I got sick of smart actions limitations and went to tasker.
However, I still use smart actions to control my GPS off and on when I'm home (based on connection to my router ) since tasker cannot do that. It can but you have to root.
