First drop...geh
Don't drop your phone on concrete and you'll be fine. You're lucky the damage wasn't worse.

You drop your phones a couple hundred times? Law of averages says you were LONG overdue for damage.

Yeah man.. my iPhone I beat the hell out of. Not purposely of course. But working in a powerplant.. is rough on phones.
Coal dust can scratch screen..example
Dirty fingers on screen.. coal in pocket.. phone moving around. Fly ash is extremely fine.
Waking into valve stems.. in pocket..
Working on pumps or heat exchangers using body as leverage phone in pocket.
Sitting at table phone rings grab it falls on ground..
Buddy sent me a text today and went to check it and fell to ground..
My iPhone has fell off the microwave charging someone bumped into it..
Getting in and out of work truck leaving it on lap.
There's hundreds of things I can think of that's happened. - 12-03-2012, 11:20 PM

I wouldn't call it fubared though. But what happened to the metal there near the headphone jack? Is it really metal? That's a weird effect for metal to show. Maybe the corners are just chrome-painted plastic?
