For those that miss speed dial. Don't know if everyone's seen it in jelly bean, but in the app list under widgets there is a speed dial widget. Long hold on it as normal to put it on your homepage then it gives you the option to select your contact to apply to it.

CONTACT widget that can do a speed dial in a couple of clicks, but a don't see a dedicated speed dial widget.

Its called the Direct Dial widget

You can stack each direct dial widget on top of the current. Then tap the widget. All your direct dial widgets pop up. Touch the one you want to call and away you go. Pretty slick.
