hey guys my phone connects fine to my work PC, when I try to connect it to my lap top it pulls the Motorola manager, but does not recognize it as a drive on my lap top to open files.
It is connected as Media device, but is not under My Computer.
Please help need some files off my phone

Have you tried putting it in debugging mode and letting it configure? if that doesnt working maybe go to device manager, find the USB port its connected to , right click, uninstall drivers after its done reconnect and let it reconfigure .?

how do you fine debugging mode?

it pulls the phone if i switch to PTP camera, but doesn't see it when on MTP media device, works fine at my office.

It sounds like your drivers are out of date, on your laptop. Mine updated automatically recently. Try letting it reinstall Moto Manager.

What's your work computer/OS?

Are you on JB or still on ICS?

I've read in another forum that there's a problem between xp and jellybean. It doesn't work right, since USB mass storage was taken away with jb.

The only solutions I've seen is to use Windows 7. Sorry I can't be of much help.

install the Microsoft User Mode Driver Framework for WinXP
