Default Access Google Now through a Bluetooth headset?

Has anyone successfully used a Bluetooth headset to start up and complete a Google Now query? I've seen various articles about long-pressing the button on the headset to access Google Now, but that may be restricted to specific phones and/or headsets.

I think my headset redials if I long press. This would be great if there were a way to do it.

If your rooted download titanium backup and move google search to a user app. Then when you press the button on your headset it should let you choose Google now.
