The charger that came with the device is 1.15A output, with two USB connections.

I've used old .7A chargers and they work, albeit take longer to charge.

I have a charger made for iPad that is 2.1A output. Any hazards in using this?

It will charge your battery faster. Faster charging means hotter battery. Heat is the enemy of batteries. I wouldn't use it. Stick to the official Moto charger.

The charging circuit is regulated and phone won't accept any faster charge than it's designed for. Using a charger with a higher output is perfectly safe.
