history of the numbers saved when you make a call on the device

when you go to your keypad to make a call, there are three headings at the top:

dialer
recent
favorites

under dialer it shows the last number that you called.

is there a setting that you can activate to not show the last number / person that you called and just have it blank?

Not without clearing the entire list. At least I haven't found any way to do that. (Actually, I haven't looked for any way to do that...) but I looked after reading your question.
