Movies on SD card won't play

I am so frustrated! My Razr Maxx HD used to play movies from the SD card but now it will not. I can put the same movie on the internal drive and it will play fine. Thinking that my card went bad I tried a different card (32g C4) that didn't work. Then I purchased a faster card (32g C10) Same issue. I have formatted the card using the phone several times and I cleared the partitions as directed by Motorola support.
The odd thing is, If I put only one movie on the card it will work but once I add more I get the message "can't play video" I could put as many movies on the internal drive as will fit and they will all play fine. I can put the same SD card in my wife's Galaxy 3 and it will play all of them. Any suggestions?

Are you using the stock video player? What about a 3rd party player like MX Player?

Tried MX player, no luck. I tried putting a couple movies an old 2gig card and it worked. Makes no sense to me. I'm so confused. Why wont either 32 gig cards work? Even did a factory rest on the phone.

Any of the files on the 32GB card larger than 4GB?
