Razr MAXX HD: Speaker turns on randomly during phone calls

A week since I uninstalled Chrome updates and I have not had the problem. Admittedly, I have not had any marathon calls, but enough to be a strong indicator of a likely root cause.

From the time I have uninstalled the Chrome Updates i.e on 14th of this month, I have never faced any issues with the Bluetooth Headset or Car Bluetooth. So, Chrome seems to be the culprit...

I've been having this same issue for a couple of weeks. I want to thank you all for starting and continuing this post as this had me befuddled. After reading though the posts, I disabled Chrome and will see if this resolves my problem. Dolphin browser, here I come.

How can I disable chrome on a RAZR maxx HD?
And what is the best filtered internet app (browser)?

So far, uninstalling chrome updates and disabling the app has taken care of the problem for me.

Do you guys have VIBER installed on your Moto Droid Razr HD Maxx?
Un-install VIBER app and the problem magically dis-appears!

Same problem here as well. On my Droid Razr MAXX HD, while I'm talking on the phone, it randomly switches to speaker. It also has happened while on a bluetooth speakerphone. This has been happening for a few weeks. I'll try uninstalling the Google Chrome updates as well to see if that helps.

I too am uninstalling the chrome updates from my HTC One and disabling it. Man my ear is ringing
