My question is different because it relates to history and not what people have heard/seen about release date. If motorola has typically taken 5 months to bring a product to market after CES, that's very different than if they typically bring it to market in 5 weeks. Sometimes history is a helpful predictor of the future.
I'm just looking for any additional data to help inform my decision as I am running up against a cutoff on my return period.
Not sure why you felt it was worth your time to post this, but whatever...

The internet is an amazing thing: Just go to Google and type what you want, and it is amazing how the information comes back to you:
Items Detailed at 2011 CES from Motorola:
Droid 2 - Release Date - August 2011
Droid Bionic - Release Date - September 2011
Xoom - Release Date - February 24, 2011
Atrix - Release Date - March 6, 2011
Does that help any? Probably not. The question is, when does weeks turn into months. It is after 4 weeks, after 8 weeks, etc.
2010 CES Info
Motorola only announces Backflip. Release ate March 7, 2010.
Still does not really answer any questions
