Default razr maxx will be released on 1/26

Well I just noticed on Motorola's website it says the maxx will be released on 1/26.

So now we have our release date.

You would be crazy to buy a moto phone. It is a shame because I loved the original Droid, but unfortunately motorola lost sight of what made that phone successful.

In just the past year and only counting Verizon phones, moto has released the Droid x2, the Droid 3, the Droid bionic, the Droid 4, the Droid razr, and the Droid razr maxx. Do you really think motorola will provide updates for all of those phones? And they all have locked bootloaders, so it is near impossible for a third party dev to release an OS update without moto providing the corresponding kernel.

Razr Maxx is just a Razr with a different/bigger battery.

And what's wrong with that? Almost everyone complains about battery life, they're doing something about it.

I like it. If I can at least root it and run PDANet or wifi tether off it then it might well be my next phone.
Droid Razr Maxx & Nexus 7 (16 GB)
