Will Best Buy Carry The Razr Maxx soon?
I currently have the T-bolt and I have the buyback option with Best Buy so I stopped in a store today to trade up to the Razr Maxx but they didn't have any. Called a few stores and they said it's not in their system yet. Does anyone know if/when Best Buy will have this phone. How long is the normal lag time between phone release at Verizon and Best Buy getting the handset?

Re: Will Best Buy Carry The Razr Maxx soon?
I was told at my BB that they weren't getting the Maxx or the lower-priced Razrs.

Re: Will Best Buy Carry The Razr Maxx soon?
I called the Best Buy Mobile to see if they had any in stock, the guy says "what's that" I have to tell him it's the Razr with the bigger battery. He comes back a few seconds later and says "it's not released yet" I tell him, it's released but you don't have it yet? The d1ckhead says "yeah, that's it"

Another reason I don't shop at Best Buy unless absolutely necessary. Their representatives are as useless as a paper bag. And as I see here, it only becomes worse in the mobile phone section. I remember when a Best Buy representative tried to convince me not to buy a Xoom and opt for an Acer tablet. I am not against Acer, but don't go as far as to tell me it blows the Xoom out of the water, doesn't freeze like the Xoom, etc. My Xoom never froze once! I was also in Best Buy when a family was buying an Xbox 360 and they said the family will need an adapter for wireless internet which isn't true anymore! And than the representative got annoyed when I told the family its not necessary and that the $100 HDMI cable being pushed could be purchased online for less than $10 at Monoprice. Lol!
Sorry, had to rant about their lack of knowledge.

Re: Will Best Buy Carry The Razr Maxx soon?
My BB guy said there was a conf call today for the OK/KS area as to y they didn't have the Maxx yet. He thinks it may be another case of where Verizon pushes initial production to their stores 1st. Based on previous history he thought it might be 1-2 weeks b4 BB gets the phone. He found the phone in his system but was not able to put an order in for one. Whatever happens, BB is buying back this TB by Feb 9 even if I have to go to my backup plan of 2 cans and a long string.

Re: Will Best Buy Carry The Razr Maxx soon?
I work at best buy. I've been pestering my mobile guys for a while now but they don't really get to know until the last minute if we're getting the phones. The sup was going to try and make a phone call to check. I annoy them rather frequently about it. I'll post if I hear anything!

EDIT: According to the official facebook page, they should be available tomorrow online so I would say give it another week or so before they hit stores.Last edited by acidburn07; 02-04-2012 at 11:03 PM. Reason: update

Stopped by best buy mobile store yesterday, asked the guy about the maxx and he had never even heard of it. I looked at him and laughed. Then walked down to vzw and a sales guy there showed me his razr maxx with launcher pro, bunch of widgets, totally customized to his liking. Anyhow, I haven't been to a phone store since I got a new phone 6 months ago, couldn't believe how thin the maxx is - I'm going to have to start reading and following these forums again. The Maxx seems like it might just be the ticket for me at some point soon.

Re: Will Best Buy Carry The Razr Maxx soon?
Called the BB mgr I've been working with...even w Maxx on BB online, it still wasn't showing in his system. But confirmed I could use the gift card from the TB buyback for an online purchase. (High point of the day) Took TB in for buyback, np. Got loaner from BB until the Maxx arrives, np. Which is y BB is awesome btw. Could not order online directly since adding a line to get the Maxx so had to call BB Mobile. Gave them all my info, all but done when she announces they have zero stock. (Low point of the day) Back to waiting. At least I don't have that TB anymore. Good riddance to it.

Re: Will Best Buy Carry The Razr Maxx soon?
Nothing has changed here. BB has nvr gotten any (which is where I need to buy mine) and VZW is sold out. I keep checking BB every other day. Getting v old waiting this long for a product that has already launched.

I just checked today and there still out! I'm waiting for a replacement due to a worse then normal sup amoled screen. HTC might have a new phone out before the maxx is back in stock.

Re: Will Best Buy Carry The Razr Maxx soon?
Best Buy Mobile did not have stock 2/13 but when I called them 2/14 they said they were showing 100 in stock. I asked them to check local stores inventory and they showed 0. I ordered 1. Used my BB gift card
from the BB buyback of my HTC TB. I should get the Maxx 2/16-2/17. Had some issues trying to add it to my plan (current unlimited vs limited new line
). I'll deal w/it once I get the phone since I can return it if they can't get it straight.
