new Maxxs
My new Maxx is coming in Thursday! Can't wait to play around with it. Switching from Blackberry so it's all a whole new world for me!

Night and day - especially if coming from the storm - as good as it may have been back in the day. Enjoy!

Re: new Maxxs
Im looking to do the same.
Hopefully my store has a few in stock.. as I'm going down there Saturday to purchase mine.
Should I call ahead of time to check? Can I reserve one? Have one shipped? Or do I need to pay for it.. then have it shipped?

Re: new Maxxs
Sweet! I used BBs for a few years, starting with the Curve 8330, and I still miss some BBOS features (profiles, mostly). But I'm more than happy with the flexibility of the Android platform, and have been able to find apps that work nearly as well as native BB functionality.
My MAXX should arrive at my house in a little while. It's at the FedEx facility a few miles from where I'm sitting right now
None of the stores 'round here have them in stock. You'll probably have to order it. - 04-04-2012, 09:06 AM #6
Re: new Maxxs
You should definitely call ahead. They probably won't have any in stock so it's probably a lot easier to order online or through the phone. Of course if you do that, you'll have to be home to receive it.
You can pay in the store and have it shipped directly to them. I think you'd have to pay first. Usually only takes a day or two for them to receive it.
I ordered mine online and got it two days later. - 04-04-2012, 12:20 PM #7

Is it sold out on Amazon Wireless?

Re: new Maxxs
Just got it about 10 minutes ago and it's now activating. As long as I get solid data I'll be happy. I feel bad leaving my GN behind but as good as it was, the major issue with signal QT was unacceptable. I'll play with this for the rest of the day and look into rooting it tonight. Sure feels a hell of a lot better in hand that the regular RAZR. That phone was to anorexic!

Re: new Maxxs
I'm getting very good data speeds - my last speed test resulted in 12.38 Mbps up, and 3.80 Mpbs down on LTE. 3G was less than spectacular, though - .46 up/.43 down - easily the slowest 3G results I've ever seen (except for times when VZW has reported network problems).

Re: new Maxxs
It took longer to charge than I thought but I guess my pulling it off the charger on and off to do stuff with it didn't help. I pulled it off the charger this morning at 6:30 and used it as I normally would use my phone for the morning commute. It has 90% and that's damn good. My GN would be at about 68% to 72% and my Tbolt would be less than 50%. I've gotten used to the soft keys on the GN so it's taking me a bit of time to get used to the buttons on it. One thing I'd like to know is is anyone here that has this phone (or the non-maxx) has lag issues with Swiftkey. I've tried the regular and the new beta and there is serious lag to the point that I'm forced to type really slow.
