We have a stronger RF front end. Those Nexus owners who say it doesn't matter or they aren't seeing the problem generally live or work near a 4g site. Get out of range or in a building and the radio on the Motorola will beat the one on the Nexus every time.

Yup. Thankfully living in the DC area affords me great 4G coverage, but outside of that I'd rather a divining rod.

For me, it was between the Galaxy Nexus and Droid Razr Maxx. I had heard of the speaker and battery issues with the Nexus....but liked the larger screen. I went with the Droid Razr Maxx. So far, I have been happy... but it's only been 3 days.

I can say the battery seems amazing, so far.

I was also torn between the Maxx and Nexus. Battery was my main concern, followed closely by signal, so the Nexus didn't stand a chance.

I didn't personally try the Nexus but between online reviews and topics in this forum my choice was clear. No regrets here.

PS. Yes, the battery is AMAZING!!!
