X to MAXX- data migration?

My X blew up yesterday so I replaced it with a MAXX. I had used the APP2SD on the X, so I just put the SD card from th X into the MAXX, hoping all my app data etc. would continue to function. Apparently it doesnt.

the one thing I wonder if any one can help me with is my SD card from my X had the "Download" folder on it and it has a bunch of stuff in it. When I touch the downloads icon in the MAXX there are no files there. If I file browse to the SD card the files are there in the download folder. How can I either move those to the directory the phone is looking into OR point the phones download icon to the folder on the SD card?

The Downloads icon only accesses downloads since the last wipe. To access those downloads, use your file manager. The biggest reason I've found to use Downloads is to cancel those in progress.

As far as your apps, AFAIK, it sadly doesn't work like that because the actual akps are stored on the phone. Have you tried downloading an app, moving to SD and seeing if your data still exists? If that doesn't work, then I guess you're SOL. Sorry.
