Re: Any word on ics
Soon. If you want it now, you can find in the RAZR forums on how to install ICS leak.

Re: Any word on ics
You'd have to be rooted to be running ICS on a Maxx... there have been a few that say they have an ICS version running... so the best place to talk about that would be in the RAZR Rooting, ROMs, and Hacks forum.

For the average user, is it really going to be all THAT spectacular?
I'm typical I think. I like to tinker with it a little, but I don't plan on rooting it. I'm not really all that concerned about the extra Motorola bloat. And, I probably will never delve into every application on the phone. So is ics going to REALLY going to change my experience, or is it just "creep"? - 04-27-2012, 02:44 PM #10
Re: Any word on ics
Its a fresh interface. Much snappier performance and nice subtle changes all around.

Re: Any word on ics
FWTW, I was on the phone with Verizon about another issue tonight and the guy saw that I am eligible for an upgrade and we got talking about Razr MAXX and ICS. He confirmed what the leak schedule was. Only a few weeks away.
Maybe that is the tipping point for going with the MAXX instead of the GNex. - 05-03-2012, 01:22 PM #19

Re: Any word on ics
I'm thinking it needs to hurry and come out so the faster there will be a way to root it. I don't want to get a new phone, root it, then have to unroot it for an update and then wait to be able to root it again.
I know on my Droid 2 the update window would not stop popping up even though I was rooted and it wouldn't install. I'm not dealing with that again.
