    Default Battery on MAXX

    Good morning

Just got a MAXX last week. I love it but have a concern with the battery. How long should the battery last? I am not a heavy user at all, dont really use it much during the day. It usually has lasted me about 24 hours...i was expecting a lot longer time..

Any tips or advise would be great.

    Thanks

Any reason you can't charge every nite. No worries then. Why start the day with anything less than a full tank?

You can also check out the topic that is pinned at the top of this section... It gives pretty good suggestions on how to manage your battery life. Like leaving on bluetooth and GPS all the time can drain the battery. I was able to get 36 hours before hitting 50% on my battery. But I turned off 4G when not needed and just used it moderately. I have to agree with cbreze's comment. I always charge my RAZR every night...I'm usually around 40 to 50% at the end of the day and could easily get another day out of that charge...but you never know what the next day will bring so I'd rather start each day with a full charge...then I have no worries about my phone...

I think it's great that 24 hours is "not as good as you were expecting". How many owners of different phones can come on AC Forums and ask that with a straight face? lol

This phone has a 3300mAh battery. Even on the weekends when I'm not working I use the phone for talking and find the phone holds up great.

I get between 9 to 10 hours until I hit 10 percent. Then again I use it all day long and am in a strong 4g signal in nyc...

Battery life is based on many things. Every user will get something different

Turning off background data (settings) helps too. Alot of owners forget that.

I use the Juice Defender App in "Balanced Mode". On my Maxx I can get about a full day and a half (some times more) before having to plug in. The free version doesn't do too much but for the $5, I got the Premium version. There is a clinically significant improvement to the battery life and longevity.

I make liberal use of Smart Actions and recharge every 2-3 days.

For example, I switch off 4G when I am on a WiFi network.

WiFi can be a power hog. During the day I dont use my Wifi. Only sad thing is I have no 4G.

I average about 18 and consider myself a moderate to heavy user. Others mentioned 8-9? What the h.. are you doing on that thing? I tried to kill it with a no screen timeout test and got to 6hrs at 50%. And that was at full brightness talking on these forums. Geesh.

I wonder if they have a job. Do they spend all day on the phone? I can check my emails and text messages. Maybe a game during lunch. But I still have over 70% of my battery be the end of the day

12h48m on battery with approximately 2 hours of navigation, 3 hours 31 minutes of display time, numerous emails, a little gaming, some internet surfing and I'm at 30% battery level which is, from what I've read, between 25 and 35% of actual capacity.
