Phone turns itself on
So I just switched from the Nexus to the Maxx tonight. I like it a lot, but I'm having an issue already. The phone will just turn itself on. It will be sitting there, and I see the lock screen come up, them time out after a minute. Then it turns back on for a minute, then back off. It keeps doing this.
I thought it might be an app I installed, so I did a factory reset on it. Still does the same thing.
Any ideas? I am really tired of swapping phones. Swapped the Nexus twice, but that thing will always have radio issues. - 05-17-2012, 01:02 AM

Re: Phone turns itself on
Just wanted to update this thread with some new findings. I installed the signal alert app, and the phone loses signal as soon as the screen shuts off. The phone wakes up again when it gets a signal. So either a bad phone or SIM maybe.

A shot in the dark, but is your In-Pocket Detection setting on? Maybe it's malfunctioning--try turning if off.

Re: Phone turns itself on
That's turned off. I also check to make sure there are no smart actions. I set the screen timeout for 10 minutes, and as long as the screen is on it stays connected. I also fired up Pandora and turned the screen off, and it stays connected.
I'll swap it tonight, but just figured I'd play with it some more to see if I could figure it out.
