Depending what email program you use, you can. If it's an option, you can long-press on an empty spot on the homescreen and when prompted, select "Shortcut" and scroll through the list until you find something relevant from your email application, which would hopefully then place a shortcut to the desired inbox on your homescreen.
For instance, I use Gmail and my shortcut to my inboxes is under "Gmail labels". Hope this helps. - 05-19-2012, 12:50 PM #4

Mine is segregated. I use an exchange server for work and gmail for my personal email. They do not merge. I can't see why you couldn't do this with other email clients unless there is something in the phone that prohibits it but mine works like a charm the way it is set up.
