Can airplane mode hurt a phone?
I set up a smart action on my phone for work, whenever it's not moving during work hours it turns airplane mode on.
Can airplane mode actually hurt my phone if it's being used all day off and on?

No, all its doing is turning off the radios.

Re: Can airplane mode hurt a phone?
Nope your not wrong.By radios, you mean all communication signals, right? One cannot receive or make phone calls while in airplane mode, I believe, as well as any messages, emails, etc.
Please clarify if I am wrong, 'cause now you got me wondering. - 05-22-2012, 07:14 PM #6
Re: Can airplane mode hurt a phone?
When you're in airplane mode, you can't access a mobile signal (i.e., make calls or get 3G/4G data). However, you can still turn on Wifi while in airplane mode.
