I'm a newbie to Droid. Came from BB 9850. The ringer always came through the speaker no matter if my headset was plugged in or not. I can't figure out how to make the ringer ring through the speaker when the headset is plugged in on the droid maxx. I always have my phone sitting on my desk with the headset plugged in, but not actually wearing the headset, so I don't have to fumble with plugging it in when a call arrives. The problem is that if a call does arrive, the ringer is playing through the headset and not the speaker, so I never hear the ringer and I missed a few calls this way. Any thoughts? Thanks a ton. (PS- I did search the threads to no avail first, I have been a long time BB forum person). TDS

You might need to diddle with settings. Start off with Smart Actions....it may be set to turn off the ringer when you plug in a headset or use a bluetooth piece.
