Notification light won't stop blinking

I just got my Razr Maxx last week, so still adapting. One thing that is bugging me is that the notification light blinks for no reason (purple at the moment). I'll open it, and check the notification bar which is empty, to clear it out, but when I turn off the screen, a bit later, it goes back to blinking. All of my apps are set to not have a blinking light or notification in the bar, so I have no idea why it's happening. Any thoughts?

Be sure to check out Calender notification settings, Email notification settings as well. My bet is there is something set to still show a notification.

Google play app needs updating. Or if you yahoo mail app notification could be purple. But im almost certain its an app in Google Play that needs updating. If not clear data from the play app.

Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Google Play>Clear data

It may have been the Google Play notifications, forgot to shut off that one. Thanks!

I was wrong, it's still blinking without showing any notification. I've shut off notifications for all of the apps that I know of that would have them. The purple blinking continues...

Might it actually be blue and you have Bluetooth on?
I think Facebook also has a blue notification light (I am not a FB user so can't verify that one).
I am pretty sure the notification light wouldn't be purple out of the box unless changed with an app.

It looks purple to me. Bluetooth is not on, and I don't have Facebook installed.

Do you have the Yahoo Mail app installed? A quick Google search brought up that possibility--apparently it blinks purple when you have new or unread mail or IM messages.

Well, if you have no apps altering the color (Nothing Yahoo related either? I've read it has a purple notification light.), have you tried rebooting the phone? I'm assuming you have.

Yahoo Mail seems to be the problem, even though all notifications were turned off. The new version with the latest update is terrible anyway, so just got rid of it.
