I never knew the cache could effect your signal. Interesting.

I didn't know this was an issue on the RAZR. At first I thought I was in the Galaxy Nexus forum.

    Turn phone off.
Hold both volume keys and turn on device.
Press down and highlight recovery and press up.
You'll see android icon with triangle. Press both volume keys and highlight clear cache and press power button.

Keep me updated as mine is having issues again.

DIdn't fix the issue on mine. ICS radios held data with no issue, but now that I'm back on 2.3.6 for the (hopefully) impending update my data sucks again.

Thanks to the op for posting. I tried this and will see how it goes, so far so good. Curious tho as to what is cleared by doing this. What sort of info is in that cache? Apparently a normal restart doesn't clear any of it.

I'll watch my data here but only thing I noticed right away was that the boot sequence to the home screen was much faster than it has been lately. Liked that

Thanks for this app tip. I tried it yesterday and it has def helped my at home signal issues I was having. On 3G I would lose signal a lot, only at home, just the area I'm in. This has really helped. Awesome! Gonna give it a couple more days then support the dev with some $.

I tried it and it seemed to help only for 3G

I don't have 4G yet. Hafta see how it does on it. As for my 3G it seems to help quite a bit at home where I would drop signal.

Which signal booster app did you use? link? I found several but if yours worked I'd rather use that one.

When I first started reading about network dropping, I thought everyone was crazy or had some misbehaving app. But in the last couple days, I've lost 3G and 4G and found the only way to get it working again was to pull the battery. I missd a lot of important emails while it was down. I sure hope ICS fixes this.

There is way to simulate a battery pull. Press the power and volume down button for ten seconds.

Sorry, I meant the simulated battery pull. I shouldn't type when I'm asleep.
