Also remember if anyone is moving to the New "shared data" plans hotspot feature is free. Im sticking to the unlimited for as long as I can.

I know someone, that knows someones friend that got a invite for something so I will let ya know what that someone says.... lol.

Confirmed. My Dad said he installed ICS today (unknowingly of course (after I told him not to install it) because old people are funny) and FoxFi was working fine.

I told him not to install it until we were sure there were no serious bugs. He saw 4.0.1, not ICS, so he installed it. LOL.

    Angry Re: Foxfi on ICS?

Well I just got the ICS update this morning. I went to use Foxfi tonite and at first it started the tethering but my computer said something about the settings not being right. So I changed the name of the hotspot and then it said that my wifi failed on my phone and to please use bluetooth instead. So I restarted my phone and tried to connect and it said and it caused my razor to restart and the screen has been stuck on the droid red eye.

UPDATE: I held the power and volume down button and restarted my phone again then tried to do foxfi again and it restarted my phone again and is stuck on the eye again. I will be uninstalling till there is a fix. Hope it is soon.

My machine is the Razr Maxx. I received the update 2 days ago and FoxFi works GREAT and was pretty snappy, speed wise. Very happy with this app!

when you search for FOXFI app, you will see FOXFI telling you to rename your WIFI connection after upgrade to ICEcream. That worked for me.

I updated to ICS a few days ago. Foxfi would not start/activate the hotspot. I tried renaming the device under Foxfi and restarting the phone = No luck. I was not about to activate the mobile hotspot with Verizon.

I did uninstall and then reinstall Foxfi. That did work. Now can utilize the hotspot without any issues. Happy camper......

Once I got the hotspot to activate, when I tried to connect the laptop to it, it required a troubleshoot to get it to connect and actually allow access to the internet, but it resolved quickly. I just told it to analyze and it fixed it on the fly.
