Long story short I dropped my maxx in a glass of diet mt dew. It was in there less than 3 seconds I yanked it out, shut it off, and threw it in a bag of rice... How long should I leave it in there and is it actually going to help?

Rice will help but 3 seconds is nothing to worry about, but then again Mountain Dew is very acidic. My nephew's I phone went through an entire wash cycle, about two days in rice and it booted up just fine. That's with out the splash coating that our phones have. ;-)
