Screen stays Dim after Wake

i need to know if anyone else is having this issue. ive read one post over here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-razr-support/216329-dim-screen-after-upgrading-ics-advice.html#post2189525 but it looks like it was not taken seriously.

when waking my Maxx, the screen will be set to the lowest brightness setting, regardless of where i had it set. i had juice defender installed and when this happened i unistalled it hoping that was the culprit, but with no luck. any ideas?

the reboot sequence in that thread (hold power and volume down) is working for me so far. power-cycle seemed to work but the problem remained. the reboot does take a screenshot first but holding both keys past that reboots . . .

If you press the power button about a half second earlier it shouldn't take a screenshot.

It was happening on stock, flashing to any ROM fixed it, weird though.

how about this? handcent sms application settings scrolling causes the dimming . . .

I am having the same problem. Started about a week ago. Reboots are not helping.

Stock ROM, rooted, mostly stock software and smart actions off.

try flashing a non stock ROM, worked for me.

Not noticing this issue.. running .215 leak, not rooted.
