Im new to rooting. I cant root my razr maxx. Every time i get "adb server out of date". Im using droid razr utility 1.8. Ive updated my motorola drivers. I am on the .215 leak.

Usually if it says adb is out of date it means that the previous instance you were running didn't close. Just type this in the command prompt adb kill-server
so as an example if you let it install to the default location it would be
C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>adb shell then next line simply adb kill-server
To check for an adb update go to android file>android-sdk and open sdk manager. Top two I believe are adb. if the right column says installed you're good. If it says update then it will allow you to install updates from there
