Disappearing contacts?

Phone numbers have been disappearing from my phone. One of my buddies texted me Monday, and since then, he has disappeared from my phone book. Now all that remains of his text is his number, no name. Quite a few names have also disappeared. Haven't done anything to cause it, no resets, nothing. Any ideas?

The contacts are probably still there. You'll just have to find them.
MotoBlur has probably merged them with another contact.
The only way to find the merged contact is go go through contacts that may have something in common with the missing contact. Open that contact and Edit it. You will probably see the contact that was merged with it as you scroll down.
You will have the option to separate them. For some reason when I separate them, it merges them again later on down the road.
I have one contact that has merged about 14 contacts together. It has merged so many within that one contact, that the app will crash and will not separate them.
It has done that nearly 25% of my contacts.
I have nearly 2,000 contacts. I'm not about to go through all of them.
Motorola does not have a fix for this issue.
