I am running my Max on stock ICS. I have uninstalled the updates and disabled play books but I get notified there are updates for it on a daily basis. What can I do to make it stop? I don't get this from any of the other apps I have disabled. Thanks in advance.

Just install the updates. I have mine up to date, and it doesn't notify me daily, or even weekly.

go into play store. settings. and uncheck notifications. then drink a beer, and sing the song of my people.

Those app update notifications drove me crazy till I disabled the notify setting in the market. Now it's on my terms.

just make sure you sing the song, or it wont stick after a reboot...

Well the trick worked, no more notification but i think my Maxx is taking a crap. The last two days it has been getting hot as hell when in my pocket not really doing anything and the battery is dying hella quick. I think I got maybe 6 hours out of it today and barely touched it. The lady at Verizon had me factory reset and install no apps to see how it does despite me telling her it is obviously going to better with no apps on it. Anyone else having issues?

i hate to push paid apps, but System Panel will help see if there are any apps eating you alive. also i use Juice Defender Plus and i get a couple days worth of use out of mine. check the batter life sticky up top.
