    You're using smart actions...

But seriously, look into either juice defender or llama. Smart actions was a good idea but it is seriously flawed.

I like smart actions because i can set a action like sleep and only allow certain people too be able to call.juice defender doesn't do that nor does llama

Can we agree to disagree? I thought it was a wonderful idea, it just never did what it was suppose to do when it was suppose to do it at a high enough success rate.

It pissed me off more than once so that's where i stand.

I also found it more annoying than useful, when it did work it was awesome. But it was a pain when it didn't listen to the triggers

Smart Actions is a battery hog.. It's one more thing that is constantly monitoring what you're doing and where you're doing it. I had it on for awhile, and after I turned it off I got about 2 or 3 more hours of battery per charge.

I have had my issues with SmartActions, but I still use it. I'd say if you can not get anything working, then I'd do into Settings > Apps > click on Smart Actions > Clear data and then Clear cache > Home... then I'd recommend a reboot... then try setting things up again. You might have lost some things, but it's generally pretty easy to setup a couple actions.

setting them up was never an issue. getting them to come on or off when they're suppose to was the issue.

I have three (3) rules... Sleep (Silent, Wifi-Off, Cellular data-Off, Background sync-Off) when I plug in at night, Morning (Ringer-Off) when I unplug in the morning so I don't wake my wife when I unplug it in the morning, and Work (Silent - Vibrate) when I'm at work location. Works every day, all the time.

Location based settings never worked out the way they're supposed to. Time based settings usually worked out the way they were supposed to. And the battery saving settings always work the weather supposed to.

    Your mileage may vary

Sometimes??? I've never had an issue with location... works just fine for me. I guess I could have the only one that has a working version on their Maxx.

I'm not doubting what you say I've heard a few people say their location based triggers work just fine, but for me it didn't work, I tried a few different locations with a few different rules and they would not consistently work. I think smart actions is a great idea, I love that Motorola is doing what they're doing, but for me on my phone it did not work. Just like every device functions differently, every CPU can handle different limits, and every battery will last longer or shorter as is life

With location based on gps then it should be spot on unless your device is usable to get GPS positioning. I use smart actions for several smart actions and no problem with triggering.

I'm quite happy for you, it's nice to know it works for some people, but I'll say it again... It does not work for me, it hasn't ever worked for me, so I use other apps to do the things I need done that smart actions won't do for me.

As i am commuting to work, the home location would disable, then for some random reason re enable sometimes even 10+ miles from home. My work one when I get to work, it enables, as i walk around my office, it would randomly disable and enable. It is just too unreliable for me to use location since it can't accurately come on and off at home and work.
