So my notifications stopped working recently. Phone, text, email etc. Only vibrate works when getting calls come in or text. Basically my speaker is not putting out sound even when playing music or video. I did a factory reset but worked for a few days than started doing the same thing. I have searched on the verizon forums and have seen where several people were having the same thing. Anybody have any clue as to how to fix this? I have tried a few apps like soundabout and speaker cleaner but no luck.

Aside rooting and flashing a popular, stable ROM, I haven't seen an answer to this issue.

Try going into the sounds / ring tones screen, playing or changing the ringtone, and then your audio should "come back".. Happens to me about every 2 days. This seems to fix it every time.

I can confirm that is the fix. It happens to me every few days. It's quite frustrating. I have tried to force the issue by repeating events but haven't found any one thing that causes it so far.

Don't know if it will work for this issue, but try an app named SoundAbout. It helps with a lot of audio issues.
