Re: Release Notes - version.98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
Good news, but...
When I go to About Phone, it says my version is 4.0.4, but when I check for the udpate, I get 'Your device is up to date!' Guess I'll need to do a factory reset first.

Don't reset. Go to Google framework services under app manager clear cache/data, force close. Check for update. Retry a couple times if it doesn't work the first time. Let us know if you had luck with it. Sometimes, it just hasn't been released in your block and no way around that.

Not yet in my block. Tried it a few times yesterday and today and no go. I'll have to manually update it when I have the time to do it.

I don't believe we're in the phase where it's available for pull yet.

Fingers crossed. I have the December build, and while the phone was working good enough, it was developing issues mostly with the 4G radio and occasionally the WiFi radio.
Re: Release Notes - version.98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
I sideloaded my JB in Christmas and just sideloaded official JB 92.72.16 version using above link. Took about 40 minute to upload it, and that's from 92.72.8 leaked version (which is a smaller file that the upgrade from ICS). So far so good, no real change. I will update after I play around with it a bit. Need to do factory reset: but at home, not at work ; )
Re: Release Notes - version.98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
It works, but the phone is still rather sluggish and not on 4G in a 4G area.

read over the notes.. I see that the weather widget was removed but no mention of us getting the circle widgets with this update.. we lose weather widget and don't get anything in return?

Re: Release Notes - version.98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
Just sideloaded it today (installed it from recovery). Everything works fine now, except for 4G/mobile data. Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like VZW data was down for a lot of people, not just JB updates. Sounds like it may be back now, at least for some.
Re: Release Notes - version.98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
Does it take away the Web dock lapdock feature on jb or will your lapdock still work once you upgrade to the new jb release?
Thanks for your help in this.

I can confirm that Webtop 3.0 is still present. I don't have a lapdock, but when I connect my Maxx to my HDTV via HDMI, I can still select the Webtop interface.
