JB -- no calendar, no chrome
I got the OTA update to JB this weekend. I cannot get my calendar to sync. I rely on that. Nor can I get Chrome to install. The installer reports 'cannot install in the default location'. I moved everything I can to the SD card, so there should be room.
One other annoyance: Under ICS I had a weather widget that showed the temp on my home screen. Now I can only get a tiny temp in the status bar. Anyone know what gives?

Calendar: Go to Settings > under Accounts > guessing at the point since you did not say if this was a Gmail or different account, but if it's a Gmail account then select the Gmail > then find the specific Gmail account > make sure the Calendar is selected, this will sync (if it is already selected then unselect it and select it again).
Chrome: Go to Play Store > Search for Chrome > download it.
Weather: Weather widget has been removed from this version... Google thinks Google Now is good enough for it's weather app... here is the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] release notes.
Re: JB -- no calendar, no chrome
When I attempt to install Chrome, I am told "Application cannot be installed in the default location." Ditto for Google services. Application storage shows 448 mb in use, 2.38 gb available! SD card has 5.6 gb available.
I know about showing which calendar to sync. I only have one, Google, associated with a gmail address. I am reading my mail and seeing all my contacts. Just no Calendar!
Thanks for the link to the FAQ. I see one entry that can use explanation:
"Outlook Sync - Faster updates to MS Outlook email & calendar" In what context is it referring to Outlook? Exchange?

Strange that Chrome can not load. I've been using Chrome even with ICS, and had not problem loading it. I'm guessing something did not load correctly on your system. If it was me I'd probably try to do a master reset.
The way I explained things above had very little to do with showing which calendar to sync. I was explaining how to be sure you are actually sync'ing your calendar events to your device. I had suggested to turn it off if it was on, and then turning it on again to see if that might kick start it.
If this is still a problem and you do not do a Master Reset you should take it into a Verizon Store and get them to fix it.

Chrome was in and working with ICS. I suspect a factory reset is the next step. I just hate have to futz with all the apps that have to be reinstalled.
Re: JB -- no calendar, no chrome
Factory reset did it for Calendar. Now to deal with the PITA of restoring apps and settings...

And Chrome? That can be installed now?

Chrome installed without asking.
