I will be pleasantly surprised if Motorola actually follows through on the commitment to upgrade our devices in that six week time frame. At this point, I don't believe they will be able to meet that goal.

As long as ics is available as a ROM I think I'd be satisfied.

I think a lot of people misinterpreted what Moto had said (me included). They will start developing ICS for their devices starting 6 weeks after it is released. Who knows how long it will actually take Moto to deliver a finished product.

I personally do not care. This phone is rock solid as is. Last thing I need right now is half my apps not working because they have bugs they need worked out with ICS...

Agreed, tried out the ICS Dev port on my Nexus S, and while its nice, its just like a pretty-fied theme for the most part.

I don't think Motorola is going to drag their feet on ICS. They know they can't screw this up.

Read it again my friend they will announce their plans for other devices at the 6 week point. The Bionic, RAZR and Xoom should have it by then. They are not going to sit on the code for 6 weeks before they do anything with it. That would just be stupid. Odds are they have already had it in pre-release form for the Xoom since it is the official reference tablet.

For me, I chose the RAZR because of the hardware materials Motorola used to build the phone. And I was impatient, LOL, and was already out of contract.

Now the screen and the CPU is just a tad behind the Nexus spec wise, and the OS is behind out of the box. However, I figured that the hardware will obviously remain the same, and the OS can be upgraded. With the premium materials used to construct the RAZR, this phone with ICS in a few months will be rocking!

Just my 2 cents.

Still plan to check out the Nexus though at the store whenever they release it. I wanna check out Super AMOLED HD

+1 On this!!

I've been sporting my Razr since the 10th., and it's still rocking strong (battery power and performance).
If ICS is squeaky clean without any bugs, I'm sure it'll rock!

It would be a first for Moto to move that fast but I seriously doubt it. That means we'd see ICS on the Razr by the year's end? I'm calling shenanigans on that one. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
