Gtalk with video comes installed on the device and works perfectly.

I haven't tried Skype yet but my understanding I'd that its not officially certified by Skype but should work.

Skype can't transmit video. It receives video, but doesn't send video.

I'm new to Gtalk video chat, and the first couple I've done, the volume has been difficult to hear. when I hit the volume rocker, is shows "in-call volume", and I crank it up, but it doesn't seem to be as loud as the speakerphone.

Skype worked on the RAZR when I set it up yesterday. The front facing camera is pretty good.

Not sure that makes any sense? If nobody's transmitting what signal can it receive?

Skype works on my Razr. But I had to start up the video first with the front facing (screen side) camera. Then turn it off and start up skype.

It will display the video from the person you're chatting to's camera. They see nothing. The RAZR doesn't transmit video.

That nasty have changed in the last 3 weeks however.

Yeah I think it did change. I did video chat with my parents in Colorado from it and they got it just fine. So yeah Skype works great!!!

It sounds like it does now. It wasn't an issue with the phone, it was an issue with Skype not making it compatible with the phone. It always worked with Google Talk.

Like I said though, it sounds like it's fixed now.
