Razr lost all 3G / 4G Connectivity
I was walking to the train this morning, listening to my Jango, and having a good ol time! Unfortunately about halfway there, the music stopped. Being bundled up from the chill and fog, I didn't stop to work on it. When I got on the train, I checked it out and all I have are the bars for cell service (1G?). No 3G or 4G options! I tried all the tricks I know: changing the CDMA/LTE network mode back and forth, turning on and off the sync function, powering the phone down and back up several times.
I stopped short of testing the kevlar on it to see how it would handle an accelerated drop! But I am really frustrated.
Anyone else experiencing this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix it???? - 12-21-2011, 07:20 AM #2
Re: Razr lost all 3G / 4G Connectivity
There seems to be an outage going on. That may be your problem.

I'm having similar problems. My 4g will be gone. I switch it to cdma only and I get 3g every now and then. If i get a call while downloading something it cuts every thing off and goes into some sort of airplane mode without showing the airplane icon.

Haven't seen 4G south of Chicago since last night. All 3G at the moment.

Re: Razr lost all 3G / 4G Connectivity
Outage should be done now if you are still having issues power down the phone, remove the SIM card for 30 seconds or so, re-instert it and power it back on and hopefully your phone will be back to normal.

Re: Razr lost all 3G / 4G Connectivity
It's not the phone. Verizon is having LTE issues once again. Three times in three weeks. That's a pretty impressive record they're working on.

Re: Razr lost all 3G / 4G Connectivity
Yeah I am having a problem as well but it didn't start until after the update. I lost 3G/4G coverage. Went to a Verizon store for tech support. Was told that 4G is down in my area and wont be back up until tommorrow.
Right now I have spotty 3G service. Has anyone tried a hard reset?

Nope 3g and 4g are still out. Nothing helps. Mom's Droid 3 solid 3g... Explain to me why 3g won't work on a lot of our phones!!!!
The nexi are having same problem, it has to be a sin card problem with the 3g thing or something? Some have called and complained and received a few bucks off the bill for inconvenience. - 12-28-2011, 07:49 PM #25
Re: Razr lost all 3G / 4G Connectivity
Data in and out every day seemingly since I got the phone. Both 3G and LTE. Even today after firmware update. And I don't live in the middle of nowhere... Happens in NYC and burbs. I'm not sure who to blame (Verizon or Motorola) but this is ridiculous. I should've gotten an iTouch... So should you if you're reading this and trying to figure out what phone to purchase. I can't believe I'm locked into this phone for another couple of years... Torture.
