barnacle wifi tether question.

I rooted my Razr, and I downloaded Barnacle WiFi Tether.
But when I turn it on, the native hotspot application says that my phone is being used as a hotspot.
Am I getting charged? There isn't a check mark next to the Mobile Hotspot option but it still alerts me when I turn Barnacle on that I'm using my phone as a hot spot.

I have unlimited data though.
Should I be worried? Charges?

So a little off subject. Kind of a quick learning noob but uh I'm running a basic root on razr with Verizon..I can get my laptop to connect but with no internet. Any ideas?

See if you have USB debug on... turn it on... very important if your using a usb cord for tethering... and make sure your in USB charging mode or USB mass storage mode.

if this is wireless hotspots app, make sure your laptop Wi-Fi is up and running, no limited connectivity issues, etc.. clean cache and reboot phone... if you have same issues, then the app may be faulty... try "wireless tethering for rooters"... click on help to see if your laptop requires special settings due VPN or other laptop settings.

I got it to work with a different app instead of barnacle I am using wifi tether now. Its working perfect so far.

This is how I did it. Just follow the instructions and works better than Barnacle IMHO.

I was using barnacle and couldn't get internet connection now I'm on wifi tether and its working great. Any other awesome root apps I should be using? Or any good roms for razr?
