I checked my update around 1130PM CST today and sure enough, it was there. It took 5 minutes to download and a few more to do the update. I am rooted, all of bloatware was frozen and I defrosted it with Titanium Backup prior to updating. After the update I found that I lost root access, but I quickly restored it using Voodoo Rootkeeper (must be installed prior to updating!). I will update the below list as I access things.

Pros-
For the first time since owning this phone, Mobile Hotspot actually connected to my computer.
Smart Actions has been improved, more options added

Cons-
Mobile Hotspot access lasted for <30 seconds, no webpage actually worked.
I have only had data access for 10 minutes since the update.
Of the above 10 minutes, all of them have been on 3G - I live in a 4G area.
Some of the icons look tacky, the menu from the home page was rearranged. (personal opinion here)
The new video app does not allow you to access the rentals menu if you are rooted.

I just got the update. From what I can see so far, the only cons are the new text message icon and the extra bloat that was tossed in. Everything else is a welcome addition. I'm just trying to figure out what the update to the favorite contacts widget is, I don't see anything different. Seriously though, I'm going to miss that old text message icon.

it looses root before updating its recomended to instal Voodoo OTA Root keeer from market and running the app and doing the needfull

Anyone else having issues after receiving this update? I lost all data connection 3g/4g. I tried to restart, pulled the SIM card, and toggled airplane mode on and off numerous times.

Got me some OTA love last night! I, too, lost data connectivity after the update. Turns out, it somehow got switched off. For anyone else experiencing this after the update, try going into Settings > Data manager and ensure that "Data enabled" is checked.

As it happens, I was connected to WiFi with data off (Smart Action) when I updated, so perhaps that influenced things.

I'll update if I learn anything further.

That did the trick!! I didn't even think to check that setting. I guess it was to obvious. Thanks for the tip.

ok...so I got the OTA --- "videos" app says I can't view vids because my device appears to be rooted, but titanium can not acquire root privileges....I'm stumped...

My signal is stronger now than before and switching from 3G to 4G is instantaneous. I now get a data connection immediately after turning on the screen.

Everything seems to be working great. I know longer have issues when using airplane mode, it connects instantly after shutting off. I noticed some changes with the camera and like the new/updated icons. Also Nice to have a bit of color added to the settings menu. I hate that Verizon feels the need to add more bloatware to my phone though!

I was able to update this morning manually and I don't see any improvements on 4g & 3g connection switch over.

I got the update this morning. I have not noticed any cons, yet, but I do like how they upgraded the look of some of the icons.

I really like the change in icon for Google Voice. Much better look. Also like the new icons in the Settings too.

Had no problem with connectivity, although it did turn off my wifi connection, so a quick turn on wifi solved this issue.

Ability to "hold on" to 4g seems better but my office is in a sketchy 4g area so I won't know until later. I have noticed that facebook seems to take waaay longer to load then it did yesterday before the update.

It isn't the phone update that's impacting Facebook. I have a Razr that is updated and my roommate has one that isn't. They're both loading Facebook at a snail pace. Takes nearly 30 seconds to load the first screen sometimes now. Send a bug to the email address on Facebook's Android Market page. They need to fix that.

So, here's a question for all of you. I usually have the battery extender smart action enabled, also set to disable cellular data. I turned it off last night since it was downloading the patch and it kept stalling when my phone went idle.

I pretty much forgot to turn it back on since then and I've been using my phone for the past four hours and I'm still at 70% battery life when I usually should be down to at least 50% or lower. (I get an average of about six to seven hours out of my battery)

Is anyone else seeing considerably better battery life after the last update?
I asked a friend of mine who owns a Razr Maxx and he seems to agree. Not sure if I'm imagining things or not..

Battery life seems to be the same for me after the update. It's still early, though.

I've experienced lags on the Facebook app on every android phone I've ever owned. That's why I tend to prefer their mobile site.
