Razr to Razr maxx for $20
I got my droid Razr on launch day and was very happy with it...except the short battery life. Then a few months later the Maxx was released and I felt angry and betrayed. So last week I went into a VZW store to buy a Maxx and found out that Verizon has a trade in program, so I asked how much my 3 month old Razr was worth, and to mine and the sales persons surprise...$230! I paid $249 in November for the Razr and got my Maxx for $19. I'm not so mad anymore and loving my Maxx!

Verizon has a program where you trade in your old cell phone's. But even if you got 230$ for your old razr a new razr maxx at full retail would be like 650$. I'm curious to?

Re: Razr to Razr maxx for $20
Did they just extend your contract by another couple months? I've heard of them doing that for people before, that way they can still get the 2-year upgrade price. Prolly should have gone today, however, now that the Razr Maxx is down to $200 on sale.

No luck.
I paid $150 on 11-11-11 (3g to 4g discount). My trade in is worth $150....
Agent said that they could make me a special deal and charge me $300 for the MAXX .. since $600-150-150=$300... I told them about this offer. Got a manager just in case.. Manager (a good friend) didn't recognize it. She said it is either a special market deal in this person's area or a deal made just from him due to extra ordinary consequences beyond the stores control...
Sorry folks. Any luck anywhere else????

Re: Razr to Razr maxx for $20
The OP's post doesn't make sense, as he says he paid $19 for the Maxx. But, as we know, at Verizon, the Maxx is $299 (if its even in stock, another story hole). So, even if he got $230 for his old Razr, which is HIGHLY unlikely considering it was 3 months old and a NEW Razr is $199 at Verizon (the price offer makes absolutely NO business sense, paying out for a used phone MORE than what you're currently selling a new one for), he would have paid an extra $69 for the Maxx.
The poster also posted in the Maxx forum that he got a $100 credit for calling about the Leap Day sale as well, so just seems to be a 'look what I did' troll of sorts.
Can you imagine going into a car dealership and saying, "You're selling a new BMW for $50,000. How about I sell you my used BMW for $60,000?"

Re: Razr to Razr maxx for $20
I can imagine that, and even in my dreams the dealer still laughs at me.
And I think you're right, if you go to the trade-in website a previous poster linked, they're only giving $180 for a MAXX, and the Razr itself is only getting $148. Now I'll give the OP the benefit of the doubt and say that they appraised price of a Razr might have dropped, but definitely not $82 in a week. OP... trolls gonna troll, you're just trying to tick off Razr owners who feel jilted.
