Problems with latest update on Razr

I thought the update was to fix missed text messages but I still have problems where someone has sent same message t least 4 times before I recieve it and other thing is Facebook takes forever to load and when I have notifications on Facebook same thing keeps loading and i end up backing out of it then clicking on FB again and make multiple trys. Never had this problem before as Facebook was always very fast but always had problems with not recieving text messages.

Is the person sending you text messages on the same network as you? Might be more of a network problem than your phone. Facebook takes forever to load on my phone too and I'm still waiting for the 6.12.181 update. For whatever reason my phone just doesn't want it. If anyone knows a non-OTA way to update my phone, please let me know.

As for your text issues, this sounds like a network issue. If your friend is on a different network, then its Verizon's issues or your friends carrier issue. Both of you call your carriers to resolve the issue. If your both Verizon, then you both call verizon. Resending a text mire than once is a network issue, not a phone issue.

As for crapbook... lol... that's always slow. On any phone. Hence their pathetic 3.6 rating..

Word of advice.... don't be do quick to blame your RAZR or Android...

Most of the texting problems are with another Verizon person and I guess not worry about Facebook except It was fast before this update. I was amazed at how fast it was on Razr after coming from a Bionic and Revolution

When was the last time you updated the app itself? Seen alot of people complaining over a slow down over all across multiple platforms.

I tried that app once and couldn't dump it fast enough. What a POS!
I've always just used a web link on one of my browsers. Works way better than the app IMHO.

I have similar texting issues.... either I get it twice or I don't receive it. This has happened on my past few VZW Android devices (never on the Blackberry). The Facebook app did experience a major slow down like you described a few weeks ago, but it was prior to the lame 6.12.181 OTA update. It is anyone's guess, but the Andoid platform is very cool, but has taken a long time to grow on me.

The text issue is a network problem on Verizon's side. I had the same problem easy alternative than dealing with customer service. There's an app called ghostly SMS, it catches the ones that don't come thru. It works never miss another text.

I update all apps as they are listed in the market and all the updates for phone

I have a galaxy nexus and razr and i get double texts on the razr but not on the nexus. Hope it's a network issue but it seems odd that it only happens on this phone.

I just got the update yesterday. Everything works great, more battery life. I have never had texting issues on any of my Droids. Are you using a specific texting app?

Never ever blame a phone for Facebook...I've had me and my wife's phone side by side on 4G, toggled to 3G, then to WiFi...same loading times. Its FB, not our phones.

I was just saying that when I got my Razr I was surprised how fast Facebook was compared to my old phone and then a week ago when got new update fix it seems very slow like old phone. I thought reason for being faster on the Razr versus othrs I had was because of the dual core proccessor but if you say all phones are the same with Facebook well then I have to put up with it. Too bad FB cant do something to improve their site for the phones because it is annoying being slow, I back out turn off flip back and forth to get it to load or comments.
