New phone, diagnosing defective or normal razr?
Hi all,
My razr is a week old. Like most I love the phone except for the battery life. Even though I knew of the issue it's still surprising how fast the battery drains. I'm wondering how to determine the battery life is just that of a typical razr vs. a defective one?
For example yesterday started off at 8:30am with a full charge. Tracked my usage, light-medium usage day, only a couple of minutes on 4g, browsing on wireless, a lot of time on standby, ~half an hour of high cpu usage video game playing, ~ half an hour of web browsing, 6 texts, 20 minutes of words/drawing with friends, 10 minutes talk time. Phone turned off at 9:30pm
Thanks for the helpLast edited by ricebowled; 05-16-2012 at 03:37 PM.

What's good battery life to you? Unless u have the maxx, 10hrs is pretty decent in a 4g area

Coming from a flip phone huh, welcome to the world of a fraction of the battery life. Is this your first smart phone? If so you might want to read up on how to setup your phone properly to reduce the battery usage. 10 hours doesn't sound too bad but I'm sure you can get two to three more hours out of your device if you set it up better. I normally get 15 hours out of my phone.
Also remember a lot of older smartphones well actually I only have about 6 hours of battery life with some having a little more with that kind of usage.

Your phone is fine. Smart Actions can help you extend the battery life further, too.
