Wonky keyboard after ICS update

Does anyone know if this is a common issue? My keyboard has become incredibly sensitive since I updated to Ice Cream Sandwich. I'll type a letter/symbol and it'll show up on my screen repeatedly. Kind of sucks when trying to play a crossword puzzle. It happens when I send text messages as well.

Is there any way to change the sensitivity or should I just take this thing back to the Verizon store for them to look at?

PS: The phone is factory -- no rooting or modding.

Have you tried rebooting your phone? Also a lot of users have reported multiple bugs after updating, most people claimed a factory restore fixed their problems. Before you do that I would try rebooting and clearing the cache.
